The Disrupted Society: mapping the societal effects of blockchain technology diffusion
The Blockchain and Society Policy Research Lab was established at the Institute for Information Law, at the University of Amsterdam at the beginning of 2018, with the help of a €1.5M European Research Council grant, to study the legal and policy implications of blockchain technologies. The goal of the Lab is to create a reliable and trustful source of legal and policy knowledge for the new era of decentralized digital technologies.

Decentralised Citizens ENgagement Technologies
D-CENT (Decentralised Citizens ENgagement Technologies) was a Europe-wide project bringing together citizen-led organisations that have transformed democracy in the past years, and helping them in developing the next generation of open source, distributed, and privacy-aware tools for direct democracy and economic empowerment. The EU-funded project started in October 2013 and ended in May 2016.
